About Me!

I am just a small town girl living in the city. I would not consider myself a “county” girl, even though I grew up in the middle of nowhere in a town that has a population of about 800. I do not like Country music and I do not line dance. I also have never farmed, tipped a cow over, or driven a tractor. I did, however, graduate with a class of 14 and that is TINY!

I am also a mother to two wonderful boys. William is 4 and Lincoln is almost 2. They are my world. They consume most of my time and energy but their devotion and love for me makes it worth it. I never thought I would be a mother but I am forever grateful that I am.

I have been married for 8 years to my husband, Jared. Trust me when I say we both are older than we look ;). We met in college, were friends for awhile, and then started dating. The rest is history!

I graduated from Utah State University, twice! I received my Bachelor’s in Science in Communication Disorders and my Master’s of Science in Rehabilitation Counseling. I find it very rewarding to serve and help others in any capacity that I can. I love meeting new people and working to help improve people’s lives. I am a social person. I love being around people and learning about people.

Some interesting things about me are; I do cross fit, I love Halloween and haunted houses, I am “loyal” to Mountain Dew (not addicted :)), I am not a morning person, and I am terrified of natural disasters.

Most important, in terms of pertaining to this blog, I absolutely love photography. The artistic and technical aspects of photography are challenging and wonderful at the same time. It is the only way I have been able to be creative and I have never been so motivated to pursue something in my life until I bought my first DSLR. More on my photography journey to come!
